I must confess that when it comes to cosmetics, I am a little spoiled! Since I have all of the colors I could ever want right at my fingertips, it's pretty easy to truly customize my own products.....but that doesn't seem fair to you! You should be able to design your own pigments too, right? So, after agonizing over the best way to do this, I think that I finally have the answer.
So, this entire page is devoted to products that you customize just for yourself.
***I am sure you will understand that we can't offer samples of your customized items because it would be far too labor-intensive, so please be sure to read the description of what you are purchasing so you can be sure that you will love it!*** All of the colors on this page start out as a velvet with no sparkle or twinkle. If you want to purchase them as you see them, that's pefectly fabulous....the ready-to-wear colors are available for sampling.
Ready-to-wear colors are .50 for samples and $4.00 for a three gram jar. All customized pigments come in a three gram jar....just like all of our other pigments, but these are .50 more due to the labor in tweaking the items to your specification. So, three gram jars are $5.00 instead of $4.50
Please note that all of the custom additives pictured in the photos are on a black background in order to bring the quality of the color forward. These apply more sheer than what you are seeing in the photo.

If you prefer to customize your pigment then choose your finish and create your pigments with the easy steps listed below!
STEP ONE Choose your pigment color from one of the velvets above (the only customizable colors are the ones on this page) and type the color name in the text box provided!
STEP TWO Decide whether you want your custom color to have diamond sparkle, iridescent twinkle, or a pearl iridescent added. Pick from the color drop-down list.

Purchase our Pigment Bar additives on their own
Since launching the Pigment Bar, it seems as though some of you have morphed into mad scientists eager to try and tinker with some of your own pigments. So, for our friends who have been diligent in trying to get me to make the Pigment Bar additives available on their own, well this is for you! Instead of confusing you with more photos, you can refer to the pictures below to see what our additives do when you mix them in with your own pigments. Just a few suggestions though....the DIAMOND additives are incredibly intense, and a little bit goes a long way, so please think "LESS IS MORE" as you start mixing these in to your own colors. Also...they are the most light-weight of all the additives, so please use some sort of a base with these or they can get messy! Like anything else, practice makes perfect, but if you have any questions, you can always e-mail me at info@theshespace.com
In terms of how these are available, offering them in the typical sample size would be unfair because I know that some of them will stick to the baggies. So, instead, the samples are a bit larger and cost a bit more......samples are a little more than an eighth of a teaspoon and cost $1.00. A full size three gram jar is $4.50.

Making Your Pigments Iridescent and What that means to you! If you should choose to create an iridescent pigment, I want you to know what to expect before you click "buy." So, in the simplest terms, if you look at the scales on a fish, or the wings of a dragon fly, you would notice that they sometimes look like they are changing colors, right? A dragon fly's wings can appear grey one minute and then blue or green the next....that's because they are iridescent! So, when you decide to add a bit of gold iridescent pigment to something like a blue....well, all that means is when you look at the color straight on, you will see the blue, but as you apply it to skin and look at it in varying light, you will suddenly see the gold! It's fabulous!!! It works the same way no matter what iridescent base you choose to layer into your pigment. One thing to note....ANY iridescent color will truly spring to life if you apply it either over a dark base, or damp. If you apply it on its own, you will still the iridescent color pop through, but it won't be as intense as layering it! Have fun!

Making your pigment an Iridescent Twinkle
So, somewhere between an intense diamond sparkle and a basic iridescent glow, there is IRIDESCENT TWINKLE. This unique array of colors adds just a hint of iridescent twinkle to your pigments without making them sparkle like mad! It is a fabulous way to take a simple shade and add a bit of life to it without compromising the integrity of the color-payoff. So, if you choose to add turquoise twinkle to your pigment, you will wind up with a color that doesn't just have a turquoise twinkle to it, but it is also a bit on the iridescent side as well! The pigment winds up being a little more complex and a lot more dazzling! Don't be intimidated by words like "iridescent" or "twinkle," instead, embrace the idea that you can change your whole look by adding any of the custom options on this page! It is a fun way to truly personalize your piggies and create the colors you have always dreamed of!

Making your pigments sparkle like diamonds!! It is incredibly important to note that all of the diamond colors that we have made available for you to add in order to customize your own pigments are NOT NOT NOT glitter....no relative of glitter.....no friend of glitter. Even when you think you are ordering "cosmetic" glitter from other companies you are still risking the fact that you are putting sharp little pieces of "something" on your skin. So, please don't confuse this with glitter. Instead, our "diamonds" are a unique tumbled and coated mica. There are no sharp edges, and each of them is safe for use on your eyes, cheeks, and yes...your lips! All of the colors pictured have a fabulous amount of sparkle and a hint of iridescent twinkle to them....so these babies do have a personality! The final product, after we add your diamond choice to your pigment will be a dazzling sparkly little gem but not so over-the-top that you can't wear it. If you have ordered any of our Black Diamond dust like Zelda's Revenge, Lucky Charm, or any other color from that group....well, that's the twinkle pay-off you'll get!
